Warm Transfer a Phone Call

Steps to Warm Transfer

  1. When in a C2C with a patient, dial #2.
  2. Wait for the voice prompt "Transfer" and then a dial tone.
  3. Enter the 10 digit phone number where you wish to transfer the patient.
  4. Once connected, hang up. The remaining parties will remain on the line.
If you have issues with warm transfers, please try the above steps up to 3 times before using backup plan.

Backup Plan

  1. After 3rd attempt failed, hang up with the patient.
  2. C2C the patient a second time (to get a better connection).
  3. Attempt to warm transfer using the step above.
  4. If it is still failing, then use the backup nurse recording line to call the patient.
  5. Transfer the call using the steps above.
