INTRODUCTION

What is an ONCALL GROUP or ONCALL LINKED GROUP of Practices?

An ONCALL GROUP or ONCALL LINKED GROUP is a practice with multiple location, that will be sharing calls. So every doctor from each location will be able to receive and handle all locations after hour calls IF they are on call.  This group allows you to set ONE schedule for every location.

CREATING A BRAND NEW GROUP

STEP 1 : Set your practices.

Before creating a new group, you first need to confirm each practice in the expected group has no future on call schedules.

All Practices must have the same 24 hour on-call schedule ( i.e.Their closing time, our start time must be the same and input using Military time.)

Both of these can be found in the practice manager.

MANAGE -> PRACTICE -> SELECT PRACTICE -> GO

STEP 2 : Create your group.

MANAGE -> ONCALL LINK GROUPS

CLICK THE ADD button once. Located bottom right under the list of practices.

Scroll back to the top of the page where you will find the Create Group window on the top left.

Name your group. => GO

FIND the practice you want to add then click [JOIN]

The group list will appear in a Red Box, find your new group and click

Repeat these two steps for all practices you wish to be in your group.

PLEASE NOTE : RED highlighted practices are “DISABLED” Practices.

STEP 3 : Create the group 24hr schedule

Go to SCHEDULER => OC MONTH SCHEDULE

WARNING - Do not create this schedule until you have all the practices in your new group.

   Select the ONCALL GROUP NAME you just created.

You should now see all the doctors from all the practices you put into this group.

Make the proper selection for your Monthly schedule THEN press GO (bottom right) to save/update your changes.

If you need blocks for less than 24HR or for different Doctors within any day, please go to OC MONTH MULTI scheduler.

REMOVE PRACTICE FROM EXISTING GROUP

STEP 1 : Remove from Group

Go to MANAGE => ONCALL LINK GROUPS

Find the group practice below the unlinked practices, Click the yellow X next to the practice you wish to delete.

STEP 2 : Delete this practice future schedules

Go back to MANAGE=> PRACTICE MANAGER=> SELECT PRACTICE=>GO

Delete the future ONCALL schedule for the practice you deleted.

STEP 3 : Create new schedule for this practice

SCHEDULER => OC MONTH SCHEDULER

  Set your new schedule.

  Then hit GO to SAVE all changes.

STEP 4 : Update the Group Practice schedule

SCHEDULER=> OC MONTH SCHEDULER

  Make any adjustments to the new groups schedule THEN hit GO to SAVE all changes.

ADD PRACTICE TO EXISTING GROUP

Before adding a practice to an existing group, you first need to confirm the practice has no future on call schedules and must have the same 24 hour oncall schedule as the EXISTING GROUP.

Both of these can be found in the practice manager.

MANAGE -> PRACTICE -> SELECT PRACTICE -> GO

STEP 1: CONFIRM 24h SCHEDULE (Military Time)

STEP 2 : DELETE FUTURE ONCALL

STEP 3 : Link Practice to the GROUP

Find your Practice click [JOIN], then choose Group name.

STEP 4 : Update the schedule.

In OC MONTH SCHEDULER,

NOTICE: This is actually copying the schedule from the group to this practice.

You must select this group, and go to the bottom press GO.

You can change the oncall doctor here, and it will update to all the practices in the group after you press GO.
