When is a triage note considered a duplicate and how?

Every call is a unique ticket, every triage is a note.

For considering if this is a duplicate triage note, the first opened triage note is the marked as first for this patient, regardless which ticket the triage is originating from. Every triage note after the first is flagged as a duplicate at various levels of 1 minute to 1 month. Typical billing contracts use 1 hour as the duplicate mark.

Example A of multiple calls from same patient.
TICKET-1 @ 1:00pm ===> NOTE 1 @ 1:05pm (no answer)
===> NOTE 2 @ 1:07pm (triage)
TICKET-2 @ 1:40pm===> NOTE 3 @ 1:50pm (no answer)
===> NOTE 4 @ 2:10pm (triage)
The above example has 2 triage notes that would be used for billing at the 1 hour duplicate filter. The 4th triage note is more than 1 hour after the first one was created.

Example B of multiple calls from same patient.
TICKET-1 @ 2:00pm ===> NOTE 1 @ 2:05pm (no answer)
===> NOTE 2 @ 2:07pm (triage)
TICKET-2 @ 2:40pm===> NOTE 3 @ 2:39pm (no answer)
===> NOTE 4 @ 2:41pm (triage)
TICKET-3 @ 2:40pm===> NOTE 5 @ 2:50pm (no answer)
===> NOTE 6 @ 3:01pm (triage)
The above example has 1 triage notes, the rest are considered duplicate under the 1 hour dup filter.
